Adiwasi Gramin Utthan Samiti was initiated in 1994 with the aim of providing quality educational services at affordable cost, At the same time the work of Adivasi gramin Utthan Samiti Jobat was to work on the root causes as primary health issues of community, poverty, unemployment, social injustice, gender inequality, agricultural distress and climate change impacts. In reality, much deeper and broader work was needed among tribal communities in remote tribal dominated rural areas to achieve the sustainable development goals.
